16-year-old killed in shooting in Auburn

Two other male juveniles were found nearby with gunshot wounds.

AUBURN, Washington – Police say a teenager was killed in a shooting in Auburn late Friday night.

The Auburn Police Department (APD) was called around 10:45 p.m. to investigate reports of a shooting in the 500 block of A Street SE.

Officers found a 16-year-old boy with at least one gunshot wound. Rescue workers attempted to save the teenager’s life, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Investigators found two other male juveniles with gunshot wounds. Police said the juveniles have been released from the hospital.

Police have not yet identified any suspects in the fatal shooting, but officials do not believe there is a threat to the community.
