Where to Find Cooling Centers and FEMA Help

Here’s a partial list of cooling centers open today, as well as FEMA disaster relief centers and other services, including a food and water distribution center on Monday.

Harris Commissioner Lesley Briones announced the following cooling centers are open this weekend, as well as a food and water distribution center that will open Monday.

The cooling centers, open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, are:

-Bayland Community Center, 6400 Bissonnet St., Houston

-Burnett Bayland, 6026 Chimney Rock Rd., Houston

-Radack, 18650 Clay Rd., Houston

-Peckham, 5597 Gardenia Ln., Katy

-Weekley, 8440 Greenhouse Rd., Cypress

On Monday, the Bayland Community Centre, located at 6400 Bissonnet Street, will open from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. to distribute food and water.

FEMA has disaster relief centers open at the following locations.

–Acres Homes Multi-Service Center, 6719 W Montgomery Rd, Houston, 77091

Hours are 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, closed Sunday.

–Spring Spirit, 8526 Pitner Rd, Houston, 77080

Please note that FEMA advises that this center is temporarily closed until 8 a.m. Monday.

Regular hours are 8am to 6pm Monday through Saturday, closed Sunday.

Montgomery County Community Development Center East, 16401 1st. Splendora, TX, 77372,

Hours are Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm, closed Sunday.
