Body found during missing person investigation, police said

ALTON, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A decomposed body was found during a search for a missing person, authorities said.

On Friday, July 12, Alton police followed up on a missing person tip, according to an Alton police news release.

When police arrived at the residence in the area of ​​E. Juarez Avenue and N. Mexico Street, they found a decomposed body inside the house.

The Texas Rangers and the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office assisted Alton Police at the scene.
