Early Saturday morning, one person was killed in a police-involved shooting at a fast-food restaurant in Tuscaloosa.

He said a suspect had been shot but did not immediately provide further details.

VCU investigators who are not affiliated with the Tuscaloosa Police Department are working on the case, Sellers said.

This is the third fatal shooting by TPD since December and the 18th homicide case VCU has investigated so far this year.
