3-year-old child missing, father found dead: police

The father, a resident of Fremont, was found dead in a nearby town.

FREMONT, CALIFORNIA – Fremont Police are asking for the public’s help in locating 3-year-old Ellie Lorenzo.

Ellie was last seen around 6 p.m. Thursday at the Casa Arroyo Apartments on Racho Arroyo Parkway in Fremont.

According to Fremont police, the child’s father was found dead in a nearby town on Friday, but Ellie was not. Police did not disclose where the father was found or under what circumstances he died.

The child’s mother reported her missing shortly after noon on Friday. She told police that Ellie was supposed to be with her Friday night, according to a custody agreement.

“Our deepest sympathies go out to the family and we assure you that we are doing everything in our power to find the child,” police said in a report to the community. “We are asking for the community’s assistance in locating and safely returning the missing child. If you have any information regarding the child’s whereabouts, please call Fremont Police at 510-790-6800, option 3.”

Ellie Lorenzo is about 91 cm tall, weighs 27 kg, has black hair and brown eyes.
