MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A Madera County man was arrested and more than 160 firearms were seized after a multi-agency operation resulted in the execution of several arrest warrants in the Central Valley, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office said.

On Thursday, officers said they, along with other law enforcement agencies, including the Madera Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit and the Visalia and Delano police departments, executed four search warrants related to a multi-agency operation involving the illegal sale of narcotics and firearms, as well as the illegal possession of firearms.


Sheriff’s officials say two locations in Madera County were searched, one in Chowchilla and another in Delano. During the searches, approximately 163 firearms were seized, as well as methamphetamine and processed marijuana packaged for sale at the four locations.

As a result, Miguel Reyes, 47, of Madera County, was arrested on several charges, including child endangerment and various firearms violations, according to authorities.
