BREAKING NEWS: Highway 204 closed due to accident

SAVANNAH, Georgia (WSAV) – Westbound Highway 204 in the area of ​​Gateway Boulevard is closed due to a multi-vehicle crash and entrapment, reports the Chatham County Police Department (CCPD).

The highway is closed just past the Highway 17 exit to I-95. Traffic is being diverted and the section will be closed for at least several hours.

“The accident involved seven vehicles,” the CCPD said. “While most injuries appear to be superficial, at least one person was trapped and the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.”
