Woman charged after death of 27-year-old man in wrong-way driver accident in Kennedy

CHICAGO – A woman has been charged after a 27-year-old man was killed in a wrong-way driving crash on Kennedy early Wednesday morning.

Jakyla Hester, 21, of Chicago, was allegedly driving while intoxicated and without a license on Kennedy near Cumberland around 4:30 a.m.


Police say Hester was driving a Volkswagen sedan the wrong way in the northbound lane.

She struck a Honda sedan driven by Quinn Fraboni, 27, of Vernon Hills. According to state police, he died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Hester was taken to a hospital with injuries and arraigned the next day.

She is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol causing death, negligent homicide and driving under the influence of alcohol without a valid license.
