Police arrest suspect in sexual assault case from 2015-2016

Jonathan Matthew Campbell, 37, was arrested and charged by Prince William County Police on June 22 during an investigation into sexual assaults that allegedly occurred between February 2015 and February 2016.

According to the Prince William County daily incident report, the investigation states that the complainant, who was under 13 at the time of the incident, was sexually abused on more than one occasion by Campbell, whom she knew. The investigation found that two other girls under the age of 13 were sexually abused between January 2018 and April 2019.

The incidents reportedly occurred between February 2015 and February 2016 at a residence in the Manassas area (20111) in Prince William County. The investigation revealed that the victim, who was under the age of 13 at the time of the crimes, was sexually abused on more than one occasion by the defendant, who was known to the victim. During the investigation of the incident, investigators discovered that the defendant had sexually abused two other known girls, also under the age of 13, between January 2018 and April 2019. Following the investigation, investigators obtained arrest warrants for the defendant, identified as Jonathan Matthew
