St. Cloud man arrested for drug and gun possession

St. Cloud (WJON News) – A St. Cloud man faces multiple charges after a search warrant allegedly turned up drugs and a gun Thursday.

The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force executed the warrant in the 500 block of 8th Avenue North in St. Cloud.

Authorities said they discovered a weapon and suspected fentanyl pills at that address.

Officers arrested 22-year-old Cassie Anderson for first-degree aggravated drug possession and negligent storage of a firearm. Anderson was already charged with first-degree drug trafficking in a previous case in which he was accused of selling fentanyl pills.

The task force continues to investigate the distribution of fentanyl pills in the central Minnesota region. The pills are linked to overdoses and fatal overdoses in the greater St. Cloud area.
