Fatal car accident claims the life of a 77-year-old man

SEVERNA PARK, Maryland. – On July 11, 2024, at approximately 1:05 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Jumpers Hole Road and Yorkshire Drive in Severna Park.

Police investigations revealed that the 2002 Jaguar XK8 was travelling west on Yorkshire Road when it left the road and struck a tree. The vehicle caught fire and came to a stop on Jumpers Hole Road.

The driver, Robert Herald Engh, a 77-year-old man from Severna Park, Maryland, was transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center by the Anne Arundel County Fire Department and pronounced dead at the hospital.

This accident is currently under investigation by the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Traffic Safety Division.
