One person was arrested after a body was found in an Albany home

ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) — One person has been arrested in the investigation of a suspicious death in Albany. The Albany County Sheriff’s Office said a body was found in a home in the 300 block of Sheridan Avenue.

During a proactive crime prevention effort, the Sheriff’s Office said it received information about a deceased person at that address. A search warrant was executed Friday morning and the decomposed body was found.

An autopsy will be performed this morning and the person’s identity has not yet been determined, the sheriff’s office said. The suspect, whose identity has not yet been released, is in custody and is charged with concealing a human corpse, which is a felony. The investigation is ongoing.
