Police investigate double shooting in Avondale

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Two women were hospitalized after a shooting in Avondale early Friday morning.

According to Cincinnati police, a woman was in her vehicle in the area of ​​3500 Reading Road when two other women approached her with rocks and began attacking her.

An officer at the scene said the driver acted in self-defense and shot the two women.

FOX19 NOW’s Payton Marshall is on the scene and says the woman’s vehicle has flat tires and the rear and side windows are broken.

Both women who were shot were taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center – one with life-threatening injuries, police said.

The attacked driver is being questioned by the police.

Cincinnati Police are investigating the incident.
