Woman found dead in Gwinnett home, suspect shoots himself in attempted murder-suicide – WSB-TV Channel 2

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. – Gwinnett County Police are investigating a domestic homicide in Snellville.

Police said one woman was dead and a suspect was in custody.

On Thursday around 9:40 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call about a firearm being used in the 3500 block of Glen Summit Lane in Snellville.

A friend of the victim had not heard from her and contacted someone with a house key to check on her. The owner of the key showed up at the house and found the woman dead.

When officers arrived, they found the dead victim and a man who had been shot in the house.

He is alive and was taken to the hospital.

The police assume that the man and the woman lived together in this house. Investigators are not currently looking for any other suspects.
