Man arrested after multiple sexual abuse of a minor

A man was arrested after raping a juvenile and attempting to impregnate her to force the continuation of the relationship, according to Marion County officials. Investigators said the suspect, 18-year-old Logan Raverty, bragged about sexually abusing a 13-year-old victim. During the investigation, detectives reviewed messages in which the suspect displayed predatory behavior and attempted to “impregnate the juvenile victim to force the continuation of the relationship.” During a follow-up phone call, Raverty provided the juvenile’s age. He also reported numerous instances of lewd and lascivious battery and expressed no intention to stop sexually abusing the juvenile, officials said. Eventually, the juvenile victim said she was sexually abused by Raverty on multiple occasions. Marion County officials said they subsequently questioned the suspect at his home, where he admitted to all allegations. According to Marion County officials, a man was arrested after raping a teenage girl and attempting to impregnate her in order to force the relationship to continue.

According to investigators, the suspect, 18-year-old Logan Raverty, bragged about sexually abusing a 13-year-old victim.

During an investigation, investigators reviewed messages in which the suspect displayed predatory behavior and attempted to “impregnate the juvenile victim in order to force a continuation of the relationship.”

During a follow-up interview, Raverty mentioned the teen’s age. He also reported numerous instances of lewd and lascivious assault and expressed no intention to stop sexually abusing the teen, officials said.

Finally, the teenage victim stated that Raverty had sexually abused her on several occasions.

Marion County officials said they subsequently questioned the suspect at his home, where he admitted to all of the allegations.

Raverty was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail, where he is currently being held without bail.
