MVD Entertainment Group will release the 1991 comedy The Linguini Incident Director’s Cut on Blu-ray Disc and DVD on July 23 as part of the MVD Marquee Collection.

The film follows Lucy (Rosanna Arquette, pulp Fiction), an underpaid waitress at the Dali, a trendy New York City restaurant, who is in desperate need of money. Dali’s new, mysterious, charming (and heavily indebted) bartender Monte (David Bowie, The hunger) has to marry someone by the end of the week, no matter who, otherwise … They join forces – together with Lucy’s best friend, the lingerie designer Viv (Eszter Balint, Stranger than paradise) – to rob the popular bar and solve their financial problems. However, the three are anything but master criminals and soon learn that in robberies, as in love, things never go according to plan.

The romantic comedy, which also stars Andre Gregory (Demolition Man), Buck Henry (Heaven Can Wait) and Oscar winner Marlee Matlin (Children of a lesser god), is presented in a never-before-seen director’s cut by director Richard Shepard (The Matador).
