Three injured in rollover accident at Bovina Cut Off

A UTV accident at the Bovina Cut Off left three people injured and taken to medical facilities.

Shortly after 6 p.m., 911 in Vicksburg Warren received a call about a rollover accident involving a side-by-side UTV. The Warren County Fire Department, along with the Sheriff’s Department and Vicksburg Fire Department medical units arrived at the scene, where three people were injured.

A UMMC AirCare rescue helicopter was also called to the scene and transported one of the victims to UMMC. Another victim was transported to UMMC by ambulance. The third patient was transported to an area hospital by Vicksburg Fire Department ambulance. While the injuries are serious, none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

“The accident is under investigation,” said Sheriff Martin Pace. According to the sheriff, Deputy Sims and Deputy Stubbs are conducting the initial investigation to determine who was driving the UTV when it rolled over.
