“ALF” child star Benji Gregory dies at 46

Actor Benji Gregorya former child star, known for his role as Brian Tanner about the 1980s NBC sitcom ALFwas found dead in his car in Arizona last month at the age of 46, his sister, Rebeccatold TMZ on Wednesday (July 10).

Gregory was found in the parking lot of a Chase Bank in Peoria, along with his service dog. Hanswho also died in the vehicle, on June 13. On the day of Gregory’s death, which was officially reported by the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office, temperatures in Peoria were reported to have reached as high as 106 degrees Fahrenheit.

The cause of death of the former child star has not yet been determined, but his family assumes that he succumbed to heat stroke in the car. Rebecca also said TMZ that her brother suffered from depression, bipolar disorder, and a sleep disorder that caused him to stay awake for several days.

Gregory had reportedly deposited a remaining check at a bank near the scene of his death the day before. TMZThe actor played Brian Tanner in ALF for 101 episodes from 1986 to 1990 and had appearances in other popular sitcoms, including the A-Team, TJ Hooker And Punky Brewster.

Gregory also appeared in the films Jumpin Jack Flash And Mr Boogedy.
