Brutal rapist terrorized his two ex-girlfriends

Charles Fyfe Morrison was found guilty of five charges, including three counts of serious sexual assault, following a trial at Paisley High Court on 12 June.

The despicable 27-year-old targeted women at various locations in Paisley and Edinburgh for four years.

During his time with the first victim, he forced her to pay off his accumulated debts, sold her belongings, took out loans in her name and forced her to sign cell phone contracts in his name.

He monitored and questioned her about her cell phone activity and isolated her from her friends, family and medical personnel.

Morrison threw objects, hit walls, and screamed, swore, and threatened her.

The perpetrator forced his victim to take prescribed medication and prevented her from leaving the property.

During his tirade, Morrison brutally attacked the woman and held scissors to her abdomen.

Morrison’s second victim was the victim of a similar act of violence when he held a knife to her stomach.

He also forced them to send him money and to borrow money from relatives without paying it back.

During their relationship, Morrison subjected the woman to violent attacks, including strangulation, which resulted in injuries and endangered her life.

The perpetrator took her cell phone so that she could not call for help and threatened to harm her dog.

On Thursday, July 11, the thug was sentenced to an extended term of nine years’ imprisonment and a seven-year prison term at the High Court in Paisley.

He will also be placed on the sex offenders’ register for an indefinite period and will be prohibited from making or attempting to contact his victims for 15 years.

Scottish High Court Sexual Offences Prosecutor Katrina Parkes said:

“Charles Fyfe Morrison is a dangerous man who subjected his victims to unimaginable trauma and abuse over the years.

“It is thanks to the courage of these women that this prosecution was possible.

“I would like to urge every victim of similar crimes not to suffer in silence, but to report the matter and seek help.

“We will listen to you and use all the means at our disposal to achieve justice.”
