And here’s what OCPD is telling us tonight. We’re told officers found the victim shot to death at the motel, which is located at Southeast 34th and I-35 Service Road. When we spoke to police, they said they didn’t know how long the victim had been here. They don’t know if he was staying overnight or just arrived. Today, we know the suspect left the scene and drove away. In fact, part of the ongoing investigation is trying to get a vehicle description. Police aren’t sure if the suspect acted alone or had another person with him. We’re going to be out here for quite a while investigating this case, examining the scene and trying to figure out what happened, what led up to the shooting and what ultimately led up to this victim being shot. This is an ongoing investigation. Police are also looking into whether there was a relationship between the victim and the perpetrator.

Police were called to the Executive Inn near Southeast 34 and Interstate 35 Service Road and found the victim outside one of the motel’s rooms. They were taken to a hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries.
