Two people were arrested after Killeen police seized 11 pounds of meth during a traffic stop

TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) – Killeen police arrested two people after finding 11 pounds of methamphetamine in the suspect’s vehicle during a traffic stop.

On May 8, Killeen police said they received information that illegal narcotics were being transported from Houton to the Killeen area.

Killeen police officers conducted surveillance and located the suspect vehicle driving through Temple.

With the assistance of Texas DPS, a traffic stop was conducted on the suspect vehicle in the 2000 block of Airport Road in Temple.

During the stop, police said they used K9 Kenzi to conduct an air sniff of the vehicle and discovered the presence of drugs.

Police said they found 11 pounds of methamphetamine during a search of the vehicle.

The driver and passenger were subsequently arrested and taken to the Killeen City Jail.
