Baldwin County man arrested for child pornography for second time in less than a year, authorities say

BALDWIN COUNTY, Alabama (WALA) – A Baldwin County man is being held without bail after being arrested for the second time in less than a year on charges of possession of child pornography.

Logan Allen Smith, 36, appeared in Baldwin County court today for a bail hearing on four new charges of possession of child pornography. Bail was denied.

Smith was arrested Tuesday after Baldwin County Sheriff’s investigators said their Internet Crimes Unit suspected crimes and obtained a search warrant for his home.

The public prosecutor assumes that more than 200 unique images were found on his computer.

At the time of his arrest on Tuesday, authorities said Smith was free on bail after previously facing four charges of possession of child pornography.

Investigators believe that none of the victims are from this area.
