Although hot days are nothing new in Denver, the problems begin to arise when these hot days follow one another.

Here are some tips to stay cool and safe:

  • Make sure to drink plenty of water and fluids
  • Avoid the sun if possible
  • Wear loose-fitting, light and bright clothing that covers as much skin as possible
  • Find an air-conditioned room and limit exposure to sunlight
  • Avoid strenuous work during the warmest part of the day

Also remember to never leave children or pets unattended in closed vehicles.

By Tuesday, temperatures will fall below 35 degrees and the possibility of isolated showers is again forecast.
