According to police, shots were fired at the GoDurham train station after a group got into an argument near train tracks

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – An investigation is underway after shots were fired at the GoDurham bus station Thursday afternoon, according to Durham police.

At about 3:44 p.m., officers said they were called to the station in the 500 block of Pettigrew St. for a report of shots fired.

According to investigators, a group of men got into an argument at the bus station before walking across the street to the train tracks and firing shots.

Police said no gunshot wounds were reported at this time.

However, they said an occupied vehicle was struck by gunfire in the bus terminal parking lot and EMS treated one person at the scene for minor injuries after they fell during the incident.

Around 4:45 p.m., several Durham police cars stopped at the bus station.

A CBS 17 crew on scene said no buses would be allowed into the station.

Durham police said the shooting remains under investigation and no further information can be released at this time.
