Morata jokes after incident with security guards at Spain-France: “Yellow card”

Alvaro Morata was accidentally hit on the right leg by a security guard following Spain’s victory over France, but the Milan transfer prospect says he is fine this morning and jokes that the guy deserved a ‘yellow card’.

Morata’s Spain qualified for the EURO 2024 final on Tuesday after a 2-1 win over France, but the La Roja captain suffered a scare when he was accidentally punched by a security guard trying to stop a pitch invader.

Hopefully there will be no consequences for the experienced striker, who spoke briefly to Marca on Wednesday morning and stressed that he is fine.

Morata also joked about the incident and said the security guard deserved a yellow card.
