Arrested in June for sexual assault on Rehoboth beach – WGMD

UPDATED – 07/09/24 – Rehoboth Beach Police made an arrest in connection with a sexual assault on the beach on Brooklyn Avenue on June 19.

Through their on-scene investigation, Rehoboth Beach Police were able to identify the suspect, also a minor, and determine that he was no longer in the area. The suspect and the victim did not know each other prior to their meeting that evening.

After further investigation, arrest warrants were obtained for the suspect on June 28, and he voluntarily returned to Delaware on July 2. The suspect was arraigned in Sussex County Family Court and charged with two felony counts.

  • Second degree rape without consent
  • Fourth degree rape without consent

The suspect was released on $20,000 bail and was ordered by the court not to return to the state of Delaware for any reason other than his court date.
