Fatal motorcycle accident in Cambria County

According to emergency dispatch, a fatal accident occurred this afternoon at approximately 5:15 p.m. in the 200 block of Manor Drive in Allegheny Township in Loretto.

County Coroner Jeff Lees said a motorcycle was traveling eastbound.

When a John Deere sprayer turned off a dirt road onto Manor Drive.

Then the motorcycle crashed into the John Deere sprayer.

According to Lees, the motorcyclist’s death was confirmed at the scene of the accident.

“An autopsy will be performed tomorrow to document and confirm all injuries. The Coroner’s Office and Loretto Fire Department are on scene. Ebensburg Ambulance and Pennsylvania State Police are on scene.”

The identity of the person killed has not yet been disclosed.

The road was closed between Munster Road and Kelly Drive for several hours, but has now reopened.
