Classic rock band Atlanta Rhythm Section will be in Thomasville on July 13 for a concert at Castle Boo. The band, formed in 1970, has recorded 15 albums. The band’s hits include “So Into You,” “Imaginary Lover” and “Spooky.” Tickets are on sale at castleboo.com . Doors open at 6 p.m. and the concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Castle Boo is located at 20 Fisher Ferry St.

An eight-piece band, including a horn section, will entertain the crowd at the Alive After Five concert at 6 p.m. on July 12. ToneZ performs a mix of Motown, rock ‘n’ roll, disco, funk, R&B and beach music. The concert will take place at the Breeden Insurance Amphitheatre at 333 S. Main St. Beer, wine, cider and margaritas will be available for $5 and soda and water for $2. Food trucks on site include Don Juan’s, Yank’s Franks, Holy Cookie Dough and Sunset Slush. No pets, tobacco or outside beverages are allowed.

The Tasty Treats series will continue at the Davidson County Public Library in Thomasville at 1 p.m. on July 12. Library staff member Keaton Toney will demonstrate how to make Captain’s Avocado Salad and Caribbean Meatballs. No registration is required. Just show up. The library is located at 14 Randolph St.

The Lexington Flying Pigs will face the Moonshiners at home in a 3 p.m. game on July 14. The team plays at Holt-Moffitt Field at 101 W. Ninth Ave. in Lexington.

Vendors can set up for free to sell their wares during the Thunder Road Cruise-in at Midway Town Center from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 14. Antiques, crafts, locally produced vegetables and meats, direct sales, plants, canned goods and local businesses are welcome. No yard sale items are allowed. Arrive by noon to set up. Midway Town Center is located at 11141 Old US Highway 52 in Winston-Salem, in northern Davidson County.
