Driver pleads guilty in East Las Vegas crash that killed two people

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (FOX5) – A driver who injured five people and killed two in the East Valley months ago pleaded guilty Monday.

Cynthia Phelps, 64, was convicted of a fatal crash that occurred in April on Boulder Highway near Dalhart Street.

She was found guilty on three counts, including driving under the influence of alcohol causing death.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Phelps was driving too fast at the time of the accident.

According to a police report, Phelps said she could not remember the collision, but remembered seeing the damage when she woke up.
