Man arrested for attempted murder of Seligman’s neighbor

PHOENIX — A 66-year-old man was arrested after allegedly shooting his neighbor in northwest Arizona, authorities said Tuesday.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office received several calls about firearms being used Monday evening and found a man on his property with multiple gunshot wounds and in critical condition.

After investigation, the YCSO determined that the first caller was the victim who had been shot.

The suspect, Frank Ross, was spotted next to a parked vehicle in front of the home. Officers said Ross did not respond to verbal commands and was arrested.

Rescue crews flew the victim to Flagstaff Medical Center where he was scheduled to undergo surgery early Tuesday. His current condition is unknown.

Interviews conducted by YCSO revealed that Ross lived in the victim’s neighborhood. Ross is believed to have previously had an altercation with the victim and fired several shots into the apartment.

Authorities said Ross was arrested and booked into the Yavapai County Jail on numerous charges, including attempted murder.
