Cup magic was delivered at Fifth Third Bank Stadium as United Soccer League Championship team Indy Eleven upset Major League Soccer’s Atlanta United 2-1.

Rob Valentino’s men dominated the game with 68 per cent possession and 16 shots, but failed to get the job done.

A great run from Augustine Williams gave the number 9 more space and he scored the first goal.

An own goal from substitute Dax McCarthy then doubled Indy Eleven’s lead.

Elio Nicolas de Araujo Firmino fired the ball into the back of the net late in the game to make it 2-1, but it proved too little, too late for Atlanta.

Indy Elven will now face either Sporting KC or FC Dallas in their first-ever tournament semi-final.
