Huron police are investigating the early morning incident

The Huron Police Department has an ongoing critical incident on the southwest side of Huron. There is a large police presence in the area. If you live in the immediate area, please shelter in place. The area is currently closed and the public is asked to stay away.

Police are asking the public for help in finding a juvenile male. The man is Michael Lee, 15 years old. Michael is described as 1.90 meters tall and was last seen wearing dark clothing and carrying a holdall. If you know Michael’s whereabouts, please do not contact the Huron Police Department at (605) 353-8550. Do not approach or contact law enforcement.

Due to numerous precautionary measures, schools have been asked to secure the buildings during classes.
