Video: Mob attacks couple feeding dogs after stray bites six-year-old in Noida society

A mob in Noida’s Pan Oasis housing estate in Sector 70 on May 2 attacked a young couple who were feeding and caring for stray dogs in the area after one of the strays bit a six-year-old girl.

The girl was reportedly seriously injured, but her condition remained stable later in the day.

According to News18The couple said the angry crowd pushed an on-duty police officer and even tried to turn off the surveillance cameras at the scene.

Shubham said, “One of them tried to snatch the phone from my wife while she was recording the incident and injured her in the process.”

He added that his friends who came to support the couple were pushed around. In the viral videos, the mob can be seen taking off their T-shirts.

In a video released by People for Animals (PFA) India, the mob can be seen attacking the couple and raising slogans.

While releasing the video, PFA said, “A violent mob in Pan Oasis, Sector 70 Noida flouted the law when they attacked a young couple feeding and caring for community dogs.” Even the police were pushed around and attacked. Immediate action against the rioters is demanded.”

According to Economic TimesPFA added that the handlers who sterilized and vaccinated the dogs were physically attacked, verbally abused and received death threats.

In another Video viral on XAdministrative staff can be seen instructing security guards – including tower guards, gate guards and basement and ground floor guards – not to allow stray dogs into the club and to remove all dogs from the club’s premises. Staff say if a security guard is sitting and a dog is found nearby, the security guard will be fired.

An official complaint has reportedly been lodged but an FIR is yet to be lodged.
