Sub-Inspector: Punjab cop arrested for rape | Chandigarh News

Chandigarh: A Punjab Police sub-inspector, currently posted in Amritsar, has been booked by the UT police for allegedly raping a woman in a local hotel under false promises of marriage. The policeman also impregnated her and forced her to undergo an abortion. After the abortion, the woman’s health deteriorated significantly, leading to her being admitted to PGI. The policeman is already married and has a child. The 29-year-old rape survivor had come in contact with the accused two years ago through social media.
