Yavapai County Sheriff’s officials responded to reports of gunfire in an undisclosed neighborhood in Seligman Monday evening.

When officers arrived, they learned from a second 911 caller that a person had been shot on the property.

Authorities then entered the scene and found the suspect, 66-year-old Frank Ross, standing next to a vehicle.

Deputies said Ross did not comply with orders and was arrested.

Moments later, they found the victim, who appeared to have been shot multiple times. Officials say he was the original 911 caller.

Investigators say Ross and the victim lived on the same property but in different homes and that some sort of argument ensued that ended with Ross allegedly shooting at the victim’s home.

The victim was flown to Flagstaff Medical Center in critical condition and was scheduled for surgery. His current condition is unknown.

Ross was arrested and booked into the Yavapai County Jail on several serious crimes.
