Pedestrian killed at Minnesota intersection identified

Brooklyn Park, MN (KROC-AM News) – Authorities have released the name of a man who was killed while crossing a busy Twin Cities street Sunday night.

The Hennepin County Coroner’s Office says 78-year-old Cuc Tri Tran of Chatsworth, California, died of multiple blunt force injuries. Brooklyn Park police say he was struck by a vehicle at an intersection where a busy commercial district merges with a residential neighborhood.

The man from California was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Officials said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators from the Brooklyn Park Police Department and the Minnesota State Patrol.
