Esko man dies in single-vehicle rollover accident

CITY OF SUPERIOR, Wis. – An Esko man was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash in the city of Superior Monday evening.

The accident was reported around 2:50 p.m. after a passing motorist encountered debris on the roadway and a vehicle that had left the road in the 4600 S block of Darrow Road.

Ryan DSS VanPuymbrouck, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, he was driving south on Darrow Road when he lost control of his vehicle, rolled several times and was ejected from the vehicle.

The cause of the crash is currently being investigated.
