Police find fentanyl and gun after man sells drugs to informant in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A man is behind bars after selling drugs to an informant earlier this month, according to Myrtle Beach police.

According to records, 43-year-old Richard Quick was arrested after police raided an apartment around 8 a.m. Monday. According to arrest warrants obtained by WMBF News, Quick is believed to have sold about two grams of cocaine base to an informant.

Police then searched a residence on 6th Avenue North. According to documents, they found quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, cocaine base and marijuana. A Glock 20 pistol was also found during the search.

The arrest warrants also point out that Quick has already been convicted twice for drug offenses.

Quick now faces a number of drug and weapons-related charges, including trafficking in fentanyl, trafficking in cocaine and cocaine base, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

As of Tuesday afternoon, records show Quick is being held without bail at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
