Miami-Dade man masturbates in front of woman before attacking her

GOLDEN BEACH, Florida. – A 24-year-old man was arrested Monday after masturbating in front of a woman and then attacking her, Miami-Dade police said.

According to the suspect’s arrest report, the attack was reported around 2:15 a.m. Monday on Ocean Boulevard in Golden Beach.

According to police, the 58-year-old victim said she was walking in the area when she was called by the suspect, later identified as Gabriel Flores.

The woman claimed that Flores exposed his penis to her and began masturbating, at which point she immediately turned around and fled the area, climbing over a fence in an attempt to escape him.

According to the police report, Flores followed the victim and punched her in the face.

According to police, the victim fell to the ground and Flores began to strangle her.

He then groped her breasts and penetrated her with his fingers while she tried to free herself and screamed for help, authorities said.

He then fled the scene on foot, police said.

According to the report, Flores told police he could not remember anything before exercising his right to consult with an attorney before speaking further.

Flores was arrested for sexual assault, assault and causing a public nuisance.

As of Tuesday afternoon, he was still being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where his bail had not yet been set.
