Investigations underway after possible traffic accident ended in shooting on I-75

The investigation is ongoing after bullets were fired on the highway Tuesday morning. Investigators are gathering information and say it appears to be a case of road rage that escalated into gunfire. It started on Paddock Road and continued onto I-75. That’s where the shooting started. The driver stopped here at Camp Washington. The two men who were targeted said they pulled off at the Hopple Street exit, where they caught up with police. They said they weren’t even sure what set the other driver off. They said as they were getting onto I-75 southbound, the other driver pulled up next to them. They could hear the man screaming, then suddenly they saw a gun pointed at them, and then they slammed on the brakes and the shot was fired in front of their car. The man was given a description of the car and a partial license plate. They also saw the driver. They say the car is a white Kia Soul with the rear window missing and taped shut. They say the driver exited at the Mitchell exit.
