Shark attacks teenager during lifeguard training camp in Florida | US News

A teenager was attacked by a shark during a lifeguard training camp in Florida.

The 14-year-old boy was bitten on the leg during the incident, which occurred while he was practicing water diving near a lifeguard tower in the city of Ponce Inlet.

His injuries were not life-threatening, officials said.

Monday’s attack came just days after two separate biting attacks in nearby New Smyrna Beach.

In the other incidents, a 26-year-old man was bitten on the foot on Friday, while a 21-year-old man was bitten while playing soccer in shallow water on Thursday.
