Green Bay gets trial date in fatal accident case

The Green Bay man accused of causing a fatal accident while driving while his license was suspended has a date for his plea.

According to court records, 39-year-old Phillip J. Slezewski’s guilty plea hearing is scheduled for Thursday, July 18.^th.

Slezewski was reportedly traveling on I-43 in Manitowoc Country on Christmas Day when he lost control of his SUV and collided with another vehicle, causing both to crash in the center lane.

There were two passengers in the vehicle allegedly driven by Slezewski, 38-year-old Heather Arcaro-Slezewski and 71-year-old Clarice Slezewski, who died in the accident.

Phillip is charged with 12 serious crimes, including intentionally driving a vehicle without a license and causing death or serious bodily harm.

He is also accused of manslaughter and personal injury through the use of a motor vehicle.

Other charges suggest that drugs may also have played a role in the accident.
