Two-vehicle accident causes traffic jam on I-75

A two-vehicle accident caused delays on a section of Interstate 75 in Ocala this morning.

The Ocala Fire Department reported the accident on the highway just before 8 a.m. According to OFR, two vehicles in the northbound lanes were involved in the accident.

The collision occurred near mile marker 352 on the roadway, adjacent to the W State Road 40/W Silver Springs Boulevard exit.

According to FL511.com, the accident caused a traffic back-up several miles long starting at 8:15 a.m., “past mile 348.”

As of 8:30 a.m., the OFR reports that all northbound lanes are now clear and traffic is flowing again.

The video shows that the vehicle has now moved from the middle lane to the right shoulder of the road.

According to OFR, one person was taken to hospital for examination.

No further details were given regarding the accident.
