The weather warning “First Alert” is in effect until Friday as extreme heat continues

Due to the ongoing heat warning, a First Alert weather warning is still in effect until Friday.

An air quality warning from the South Coast Air Quality Management District remains in effect through this morning.

A high pressure system will hover over the entire western United States until the end of the week.

It is very important to take this heat seriously and follow recommended behaviors such as staying indoors during the afternoon heat, using heavy equipment earlier in the day, drinking plenty of water and other hydrating fluids, and never leaving a person or pet in your vehicle – ever. Highs look to ease off toward the weekend.
