Medina man killed in motorcycle crash in Pendleton

ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) — A Medina man succumbed to his injuries following a motorcycle crash in the town of Pendleton.

On July 4, New York State Police responded to the intersection of South Transit Road and Tonawanda Creek because of the accident.

According to investigators, the driver of a 2018 Honda was traveling north on South Transit Road and entered the median. They said the driver began to turn onto Tonawanda Creek but failed to yield the right of way to a motorcycle driven by 51-year-old Vincent Hawkins.

After colliding with the Honda, Hawkins was thrown from his motorcycle. He was taken to Erie County Medical Center but later died from his head injuries.
