Jennie’s agency apologizes for indoor vaping incident

BLACKPINK’s Jennie’s agency has addressed the recent controversy surrounding her indoor vaping.

On July 8, a video of Jennie vaping indoors sparked controversy on social media and online communities. The footage, part of a vlog uploaded to Jennie’s YouTube channel on July 2, showed her vaping indoors while applying makeup and blowing smoke toward staff. The scene has since been deleted.

On July 9, Jennie’s agency OA Entertainment released the following statement:

Hello. This is OA Entertainment.

We sincerely apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable due to Jennie’s behavior in the content posted on July 2nd.

Jennie acknowledges her mistake of vaping indoors and inconveniencing the staff and deeply regrets it.
Jennie has personally apologized to all employees on site who may have been affected.

We apologize to their fans who were disappointed by this incident. We hope that this will not happen again in the future.

Thank you very much.
