Anthony Landry wanted for murder of Houston lawyer

Police say Anthony Landry argued with employees because he wanted a refund. The victim intervened to calm the customer before he was shot.

The victim, Jeffrey Limmer, 46, was shot and killed after trying to intervene in an argument between a customer and employees at a west Houston McDonald’s over the weekend.

Officers with the Houston Police Department called 8147 Katy Freeway around 6 p.m. Saturday.

Police say Anthony Martin Landry, 57, was arguing with McDonald’s employees because he wanted a refund for his order. Limmer stepped in to try to calm Landry down, but he instead turned his attention to Limmer.

Limmer and Landry came out and an argument began. Limmer pushed Landry down, police said. Landry went to his car and pulled out a gun before shooting Limmer, police said.

HPD said Landry fled in a blue Ford pickup truck from the early 2000s. He is charged with murder.

Limmer was an associate in the Houston office of the law firm Lewis Brisbois. According to his biography on the company’s website, Limmer attended the University of Texas at Austin and the South Texas College of Law.
