Isolated severe storms overnight with heavy rain, gusty winds or a brief tornado

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A flood warning has been issued for northeast Arkansas and the Missouri Bootheel. As the remnants of Beryl move into Arkansas, some severe storms are possible overnight. Heavy rain, some flooding and gusty winds up to 40 mph are the main risks with any storms. A brief tornado cannot be ruled out, but the risk is low. Lows will be around 70 degrees. Winds will be from the northeast at 10-15 mph, with stronger gusts during storms.

TUESDAY: Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue through the first half of the day, with most areas drying out by late afternoon. Each storm may produce a brief tornado by midday. Highs will be between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius. Winds will shift to the south and eventually southwest at 10 to 20 mph with stronger gusts.

WEDNESDAY: It will be predominantly sunny with maximum temperatures between 30 and 35 degrees.

LATE WEEK: Expect more sunshine with highs in the 90s on Thursday and between 90 and 95 degrees on Friday.

HOT AND GAY WEEKEND: It will be sunny and occasionally cloudy, with highs of 35 degrees and lows of 25 to 26 degrees. In most areas it will feel like triple digit temperatures.
