Fatality reported in crash on Interstate 80 between Peru and Spring Valley – Shaw Local

The La Salle County Coroner’s Office confirmed that a death was reported across the county line from Bureau County on Interstate 80 between Spring Valley and Peru.

Peru police issued an alert for an accident on westbound Interstate 80 on Monday morning. A detour was set up to divert traffic from the interstate.

The Bureau County Coroner’s Office did not immediately respond to a request for information.
