Atlanta Braves News: Marcell Ozuna Participates in Home Run Derby, Sale Wins, More

Monday was a busy day on and off the field for the Atlanta Braves.

On the field, the Braves pulled off one of their most impressive wins of the season. Coming back from behind while beating an opponent who scored 4 or more runs in a game for the first time since April 17th is no small feat. The Braves combined the long ball with timely hits once again tonight, and the result was winning three of four games against teams that were in the NLCS last year.

Off the field, Atlanta decided to give Chris Sale an extra day of rest and recalled Bryce Elder to the major leagues to start Monday. Atlanta also brought Eddie Rosario back to the Braves. To make room, Dylan Lee and Luke Williams were sent to the minor leagues. Rosario’s return is certainly noteworthy, as he has had many good moments for the Braves over the past few years. However, he has also struggled at the plate this season, so time will tell what his ultimate value is to the Braves this year.
